6Metamoqester known in Japan as Oni: The Ninja Master (隠忍 THE NINJA MASTER , In'nin za ninjamasutā, Hidden Ninja: The Ninja Master) is a 2D Gang Battler / Boss Rush Arcade Fighter developed by Pandora Box and published by Banpresto. It was released in Japan in Novermber of 1995, and eventually made its way to the US later the same year.
The game features a unique art style with colorful and detailed pixel art. Players can choose from 3 different characters, Tenchimaru, Kaiohmaru, and Yukihime. Each have distinct abilities and fighting styles that make playing as them unique. The gameplay is also very unique for a Fighting game as its not a vs style game, but stage based cooperative. You fight your way through a single stage that spawns different nonplayable characters and large bosses.
The art in the game is fantastic, and the spritework is very underrated when it comes to the special attacks and the when you can get a look at the giant bosses. However, the game lacked a unique storyline, as its the basic stop the evil mad man from destroying the world.
The soundtrack was composed by Satoshi Akamatsu.
