I live stream 8-bit Nintendo games on original hardware at least once a week, usually WedNESdays from 10–11 p.m. Eastern, and sometimes play other games on Friday nights (NES, Game Boy, SNES, Wii, etc.) or whenever the mood strikes and I have time.

REMAINING METROIDS: 33

Yup, this is Metroid. I just finished playing the NES game, and I'm finding this easier and more straightforward, but also, maybe, a little... boring? I found a bunch of stuff, and killed some Metroids, but for some reason the exploration is less exciting this time around. At the end of a couple of hours, I'm starting to get lost a bit, but without the context of the game manual, reviews, comments, and articles about Metroid II, the game feels sort of baffling. I'm hoping it will pick up in the next session!
