This is a tutorial of sorts, but mostly it just shows how proper mastery of one's weapon is just as important as memorizing monster attack patterns. I make some mistakes and the run is not perfect, but there are enough good points to make it very worth the watch. Several new players struggle with Diablos, and especially Black Diablos when they first encounter her. People also tend to have difficulty adjusting to the sluggishness of Greatsword, and they fail to utilize its strengths properly. I hope that watching this demonstration will help players both understand Greatsword and defeat the Horned Tyrants.

Greatsword Tackle can be done out of any roll while unsheathed, or any currently charging attack. The damage and stun MASSIVELY increase with charge level, making it extremely effective in trades if you charge it up. Tackle provides the same armored state and damage reduction as Rocksteady Mantle, making it a viable way to go through roars and otherwise just ignore the monster while you wail on it. Tackle also increments your Charge Slash combo level by 1, upgrading it to Crouching Charge Slash or True Charge Slash. Since it can't go past level 3, continually Tackling will maintain the level for True Charge Slash until you find an opportunity to land it.
