I loved J.R.R. Tolkien's books and the world portrayed in them since I was a boy so, obviously, I can't pass up on a game with such a rich setting.
Sadly, there aren't that many good games telling the stories of Middle-earth. But Shadow of Mordor definitely seems to be one of them.
While my dream is to play a single-player, story-centered RPG set in the world of the Lord of the Rings, an action game in an open world is not too bad either.
This game runs pretty well on Linux as it is, but, if you have a graphics card that supports Vulkan, you should try a Vulkan beta build made by good friends of us, Linux gamers, at Feral Interactive, that boosts the performance even further.

Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/241930/Middleearth_Shadow_of_Mordor/

My specs are:

Distro: Manjaro
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K @ 3.70GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080
GPU Driver: NVIDIA 440.36
RAM: 16 GB

Tweaks: Vulkan beta build. Go to Properties - Betas and select "linux_vulkan_beta".
