Years ago The Banner Saga set an example of how tactical survival RPGs (or whatever you may call them) should be made.
Since then, several development teams tried their best to create a similar experience, but without much success. Some of them (e.g. Ash of Gods) stuck so close to the original idea that they were inevitable branded "The Banner Saga clones".
The developers of Sword Legacy: Omen, at least, seem to try to create something a bit different using similar mechanics. And the result is actually not bad at all.
If you like the tales of the Knights of the Round Table ,and you enjoyed The Banner Saga, this game may be for you.
And, thankfully, it works out of the box on the latest Proton version.
