Don't be fooled by the description of the game: there is no native Linux version for Dead in Vinland. If you install what is supposed to be one, Steam just created an empty game folder.
Simply force Steam to use a specific Proton version (watch this video, if you don't know how: https://youtu.be/aSR5FNPgSro), and enjoy the game.
The game itself is great. It takes many different mechanics such resource management, visual novel-style dialogues, turn-based battles and more, and mixes them to create a unique experience.
