
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Redux on Linux (Proton)
If you are looking for a more relaxed, meditative experience, I recommend The Vanishing of Ethan Carter.
I don't care much for the term "walking simulator", because the games that get labelled by it are generally focused more on the inspection of the surroundings and putting the pieces of the puzzle into their appropriate places in order to learn the truth than on walking itself.
The story of Erhan Carter is one such story. And that's why I am glad I could avoid giving any spoilers in this video.
The game runs pretty well on Proton, but there are some occasional frame drops, as you can see in the video. Good thing is given the nature of this game, they aren't critical.

Tweaks: If you have an NVIDIA card, you may want to go to NVIDIA X Server Settings - X Server Display Configuration - Advanced and Enable "Force Full Composition Pipeline". This will help you avoid the screen tearing.
