Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Game Boy) Playthrough - NintendoComplete
A playthrough Bandai's 1994 platform game for the Nintendo Game Boy, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Played through on hard mode with the Super Game Boy adapter for the Super Nintendo.
This is an entertaining portable romp for the Power Rangers, but it's (unsurprisingly) nowhere near as good as the SNES title. It's a completely different game than those release on any other platform, and the Super Game Boy allows you to actually tell which color ranger your playing. This doesn't really make much difference since they're all identical to one another - the girls don't even have a different sprite from the guys! It does, however, ensure that the entire level is color-themed for your ranger - and if you pick the Black Ranger, the graphics look surprisingly like they're being pulled right from a Game Boy Pocket. As in, there's no color whatsoever. The only other way the game makes use of the SGB is the static border that surrounds the screen. No special music, sound effects, or control options.
Oh, and watch out for the fourth stage! Those boulders are soooo irritating!
