We made a video for this game over a year ago, but opted not to re-upload it due to slightly choppy/erratic framerate and fairly bad quality. We've revisited this game and the developers have put out a nicer, more complete version that's significantly different from the previous game. We played it and have decided to put up a new video for Mikyaku Impact, as it was one of the more promising doujin fighters when it was originally released.

While the game still hasn't addressed some of my main concerns (primarily, attacks are too powerful), it feels more complete and is shaping out nicely. Originally, the game had various title screens, different artwork, most characters didn't have endings, there wasn't a real story, Ihono was a very incomplete character, and Gogan (the final boss) wasn't playable for most people. Now the game has a nice opening, boss introduction, and endings with a different story (considering primarily a handful of people made the game), the visuals have been improved a bit, there's a few new stage designs and some characters have new poses and additional animations, Ihono has been completed and is an awesome character now (perhaps too awesome; she's too damn powerful), some characters' attack sets have been modified and can launch new attacks, and the game is cooler now.

While the engine needs some tweaking (still feels a little basic and the roster, while every character is distinct, is still limited), but this is one to look out for. It's got pretty nice visuals and decent music, and nice scenes. The devs are still looking into the game and want to add at least one additional character in the future.
