Dragon Spirit is a classic vertical shooting game that was made for a number of platforms such as the arcades, Commodore 64, Armstrad CPC, TurboGrafx-16, and others. A version of Dragon Spirit was later made for the lovable NES by the name of Dragon Spirit: The New Legend. A sequel to the game was also made by the name of Dragon Saber and released in arcades as well as for the PC Engine (Japanese TurboGrafx-16).
Zawell (or Zawel) has been defeated by your father, Amru, and has restored peace for a time. However, a new evil, Galda, has kidnapped your twin sister, Iris, and now you, Lace, must take your father's sword and slay him. Amru cannot help you since he's become ill from his battle with Zawell and weary of battle, but fear not. With his sword, you can transform yourself into a mighty dragon!
The gameplay here offers you numerous power-ups that will increase your firepower as well as the number of heads your dragon has and his color. You can shoot normal enemies infront of you but you can also drop bombs on the ground below to get extra items lying arourd or defeat enemies on the ground. If you become too powerful, you can actually lose your strength and revert back to your basic form. Enjoy.
