Wee... it's time to watch Metal Fighter... fun fun fun. Metal Fighter is a mediocre shooter for the NES published (but unlicensed) in the states by Color Dreams and developed I'm assuming by Joy Van. This game was released in the U.S., Japan, and Asia (where Joy Van gets the bulk of the credit, so this may have originally been an Asian game).

This game isn't so bad and it's seen as one of the better games distributed by Color Dreams. It has a lot of potential, but it never took most of it anywhere. The MCS-920 (or Metal Fighter) goes around destroying lots of aliens and robots in its quest to... blast aliens and robots. The game is action-packed and smooth and there are power-ups to be had. You start off as a walker but quickly gain the ability to fly. One interesting thing about the game is the way you acquire special weapons. You have to fight a duplicate of yourself who gets progressively tougher in order to get special weapons, although it becomes very straightforward very quickly. The bosses are large and pretty nice looking I guess. The music really gets on my nerves because it's incredibly finite. Anyway, enjoy.
