In this video I take a look at the mod "Mimicry". What can be done with Mimichite Ore, how to use it to multiply resources and how to build and use the Mimikinetic Upheaver to quarry material from the underground.

Some theorycrafting: Is it worth to go for highest tier of the Upheaver? Or should you only use the cheapest one? Calculations below.

Mimic orb: 9 Mimichite
Mimic block: 81 Mimichite

Tier 0
Size 10x10 = 100 blocks
Fortune 0
Mimichite ore needed: 81+4x9+4x1=121 (1 stack + 57)
ores / block: 1,21

Tier 1
Size 12x12 = 144 blocks
Fortune I
Mimichite ore needed: 121+4x9+4x1=161 (2 stacks + 33)
ores / block: 1,12

Tier 2
Size 14x14 = 196 blocks
Fortune II
Mimichite ore needed: 161+6x9+2x1=217 (3 stacks + 25)
ores / block: 1,1

Tier 3
Size 16x16 = 256 blocks
Fortune III
Mimichite ore needed: 217+8x9=289 (4 stacks + 33)
ores / block: 1,12

Higher tier will require a lot more ores to craft, but the difference is not that big when looking at ores per active block. If you then consider Fortune into this, the highest tier is absolutely worth building. I would like to say that building the first tier is ok to use early for quick resources, but after that you should save material and go for highest tier. The ores/block ratio is best in tier 0, and tier 3 is better or as good as the other tiers. If you add up Fortune 3 on top of that I would say that tier 1 and 2 are not worth doing as soon as you have left tier 0.
