Megaman Battle Network 2 | Finale: Stop the Supernavi & Gospel
It comes down to this now. Welcome to the finale.
As Lan and Mega continue trying to find their way through, they soon discover that Gospel's going all in. Navis that we fought previously want to face us. First is AirMan, QuickMan and CutMan. Later on it's KnightMan, MagnetMan and FreezeMan. And then we confront the big bad. You think that it's some big brute named Lord Gospel, turns out it's just a 10-year old kid.
A kid in question is Sean “Shun” Obihiro. His life utterly sucks. He lost his parents to a plane crash but then suffered through serious abuse. Being an orphan by society had him ostracized. So therefore he harbored nothing but contempt and hate for society. He would put trust into computers and machines and all that did made him lonely. It's then he started making friends and that's how Gospel is formed.
Now Sean wants to raise hell upon humanity. Lan and Megaman aren't letting that happen. So Sean decides to sick Bass.EXE upon us. But this isn't the Bass we know. It's a fake. Even though Bass appeared in Battle Network 1 as a hidden boss, this marks the first actual appearance. He has no LifeAura so just give him hell. After that, this fake starts to mutate but not before Sean decides to raise the server level up to 600%. This forces Lan and Mega to go full sync in hopes of fighting back against the menace, Gospel.
Gospel has 2000 HP and if you want any chance to take him down, do so after it attacks. Take advantage of powerful chips and combos, you'll need it. Believe me. I died four times against him and it made me had enough going HeatTeam style to finish the job. Believe me. It's a pain in the butt. With Gospel defeated, Sean's plans go down the drain. He knows his life is done but Lan, after having learned the truth, wants Sean to atone for his actions. He also wants Sean to be his friend... only after making amends.
The world is saved but Lan and Mega soon learn that Sean may have been used as a pawn. This has the two concerned but for now it doesn't matter. Celebrations abound. Battle Network 2 is a big improvement over the first game. Not only that but the addition of the Style Change really adds more to the game. Depending on how you play, you have access to a different style and players can hold up to two for good measure. Just wait until Battle Network 3.
Thanks for watching. See you in the third game. And one last thing, there's an extra scene where the real Bass.EXE is going around blasting the fake Bass Navis. He's out for revenge. Against humanity.
