I have a soft spot for demon monkey like monsters 😍.

P/S : Monster Hunter Now Got Nominated For "Best Mobile Game Of The Year" for "The Game Awards" (2023 Edition). Hopefully this bit of news puts a little more interest in this francise and we have more communities built around monster hunting, even if its just for a casual run.
Side Fact : Monster Hunter Rise was nominated for "Best Role Playing Game and Best Multiplayer Game" at The Game Awards 2021, but did not win.

Its Capcom's second best-selling series following Resident Evil and almost reaching 20 years old. In fact, fans of the series are hearing rumours that a new sequel will be announced in conjuction of their anniversary (around March) next year.
My Initial Take (After playing for 30 hours, former Monster Hunter World player) : Monster Hunter Rise is much brighter and has more human NPC to keep the environment lively. You can be assured that the dreaded Handler Lady from MHW will not be in this game 😅.
Wirebug mechanism certainly needs some practice before you can get the hang of it especially when you are using a controller. However progression is a nice pace and less stressful, perfect for those looking to ease into the series. I also have to say playing it on PC gives you a slightly better frame rate stability and the game is designed in a way that combat feels much more quicker and "action full".
