The Golden Orbs can be pretty overwhelming on a first playthrough. I blame the fact that LOT2's Main Game has fewer group bosses overall. If we're excluding all the "boss that respawns much weaker mooks", I think the only comparable fight is Remilia and Sakuya back on 10F. While I like LOT2, I think this is one thing that LOT1 did a lot better (the earliest group fight that wasn't "a boss and respawning flunkies" was on 2F in LOT1. And they consistently threw more with Alice, then Reisen, then Eientei etc.)

Anyway, the Golden Orbs' group dynamic is basically this:
-The leftmost Orb is the main attacker
-The rightmost Orb is their support
-The center Orb is the tank (and reviver)

Keeping up with the three is easier said than done. Even if this fight didn't require you to micromanage three different boss ATB's, the Orbs themselves can hit 5 of the 8 elements (FIR, CLD, WND, NTR and MYS). Because of this, I think it's best to focus fire on the leftmost Orb. Then kill the center Orb (so it can't revive the other two, which it will do if it's the last one). I would also recommend inflicting SIL ASAP to make things easier.

As you can see in the video, Kanako can make quick work of all three Orbs. She can hit CLD, PHYS and SPI with her default skills (though I don't get a chance to show off SPI. I'll also note that Suwako can kill the right most orb with her NTR Nuke). If you haven't upgraded Kanako, or don't want to spend money on upgrades for her and the rest of the Moriya Shrine, Nitori can do basically the same thing. She can't hit SPI, but she can hit the CLD and PHYS weaknesses of the other two Orbs. With Aya and Yukari shenanigans, she can kill the left Orb faster than Kanako can.

Music is Kanako's theme from Touhou 17.5
