0I wasn't sure what I'd think of this, but it piqued my curiosity as seeming like a potentially-superior alternative to Strafe. There may have been one or two lapses in conveyance, but I was getting to like the combat - until I reached the section's boss.
The game advertises "soulslike" boss fights, which I tend to cynically interpret as "takes 100 hits to kill, while the player dies in 5", and...that seems unfortunately spot-on here. The problem is this is also a roguelike - which means your "runback" may take half an hour or more. Not a great combo, though I admittedly didn't have time to test how much the roguelite upgrade tree might soften the blow.
