Fast Fact: On a small island southeast of Dagon Fel you can talk to M’Aiq the Liar, a khajit rogue. Most of his dialogue refers to anticipated and expected features that didn’t make it into the game. You can also find him in Oblivion, Skyrim, and The Elder Scrolls Online!
Fast Fact: While, both Arena and Daggerfall had been created using algorithms that randomly built the world's areas, Morrowind was created by hand. It was an enormous task that took close to 100 man-years, in total, to create.
Fast Fact: Fans of both the Elder Scrolls series and tabletop RPGs may note a similarity in gameplay mechanics as well as lore and setting, between Morrowind and RuneQuest. The link between them is Ken Rolston, who worked on Avalon Hill’s edition of Rune Quest before becoming a lead designer at Bethesda for Morrowind.
Fast Fact: It is likely players will come across mysterious characters written in Dwemeris script, all over the pipes, throughout the game. The characters actually spell the word “Wormgod,” which was the nickname of Bethesda developer Gary Noonan.
Fast Fact: The very first character you meet, Jiub, devoted the rest of his life to killing cliff racers. It’s said that he killed 76 cliff racers over two days and eventually hunted them to extinction in Vvardenfell… because he’s a maniac. You later find out that he achieved Sainthood through this act in Skyrim Dawnguard.
