Feel free to check out the description for my initial thoughts about the game.

Welcome to Game Play. A series, of sorts, where I check out various video games and share the pure gameplay experience with you.

Today we're taking a look at Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate on the Xbox Series S.

My immediate impressions so far:

Mortal Kombat 11 has been officially optimised for the Series line of consoles, and it absolutely shows. It looks nothing less than spectacular on the Series S - especially with HDR enabled and even when upscaling to 4K on my TV.

It is remarkable how the system performs while running at, what I believe is, 60fps. Without comparing the two, I'd definitely say that the Series S version looks and plays much better than on the One X. It is simply that good. Impressive work by Netherrealm Studios, and it just shows the surprising amount of power in such a small machine when the games are optimised for it. Absolutely fantastic!

And yes, Kitana is my favorite character of the bunch. She's awesome :)

The game seems to run at either 1080p or 1440p at 60fps, but I sadly don't the proper tools to either check or verify.

The game was recorded directly on the console to an external HDD. No postwork has been done.
