This is a playthrough of single player mode using Noob Saibot in the Genesis/Mega Drive version of Mortal Kombat II. Read on below for more information...

Noob Saibot is a hidden CPU-only character in the game, which makes him a non-selectable/unplayable character.

===== ABOUT MK2 NOOB SAIBOT =====

Noob Saibot is an unplayable/non-selectable hidden character in all official versions of MKII. Even if you used external methods (such as Action Replay, Game Genie, etc.) to select him and the player tried controlling him, it would cause the game to crash, making it somewhat pointless unless you did it for curiosity or/and experimental purposes. Literally anything you did with him caused the game to crash, and this applies especially to the Arcade and SNES versions.

===== ABOUT GENESIS MK2 NOOB SAIBOT =====

The Genesis version of Noob Saibot however, is a bit different because under human control, as he is far more "lenient-from-crashing" than the Arcade and SNES versions of him. You can do far more things with him without crashing the game.

Another thing that helps is the fact that Noob is a semi-clone of the regular male ninja characters, meaning that he has the structure of a regular character, which means that you won't get the sprite/animation problems you would have with Kintaro and Shao Kahn. This means that you can actually *almost* play him completely like a regular character without the game crashing, making it possible to actually beat the game with him in single-player mode, as long as you're careful and avoid doing the few things which can crash the game! Here is more detailed information on Noob:

===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION =====

---- Despite being an unplayable character, he actually has a "special move" available when controlled by a human player, as follows:

...... A glitched "projectile" move that uses Sub-Zero's sprite poses and ice shards, but all coloured black. It creates a clone of himself which remains on the screen in the dizzy state animation. You can keep repeating this move, but the previous clone disappears and re-appears in the new place you performed the move at. It does not hurt nor affect the opponent, but the CPU opponents do react to it though. The command to do this move is Down, Back or Quarter Circle Back. No button press required.

---- He has glitched close-up LK and HK (the knee attack) whereby if it hits, he does not go back to a neutral state meaning that he is frozen in the animation. He needs to be hit out of this move for the player to regain to control. You can see this starting around 23:28 in the video.

---- The CPU Noob Saibot has Scorpion's Harpoon special move. The human-controlled Noob cannot do this.

---- If Noob Saibot is in a match, the text "Now You Must Return To The Outworld" will appear after he wins or gets defeated.

---- He can appear on the character select screen, and he even has the proper pose when you confirm him. There are some graphic glitches when he is confirmed though. You can see this starting around 00:35.

---- When playing as him as a registered character, he is locked to the Blue Portal stage in fights. Even Kintaro and Shao Kahn (who are both usually locked on the Kahn's Arena stage) are forced to appear on the Blue Portal if Noob Saibot is present.

---- His icon on the "battle plan" screen is the [?] icon.

---- If you manage to beat the game with him, the game will crash because he does not have an ending programmed in.

---- He receives generally lower damage than the regular characters. This is normal as it is the same case as CPU Noob.

---- As a specialist character (hidden), there is no "Finish Him/Her" feature when he is present.

---- Sprites-wise, he is a clone of Sub-Zero for the most part, but he has Scorpion's Harpoon special move. Only a CPU-controlled Noob can do the Harpoon obviously.
