Super Street Fighter II X [Arcade] - OLD Ryu
This is a play-through using "Old" Ryu (the previous SSFII version of him) in the Arcade version of Super Street Fighter II X: Grand Master Challenge. Read on below for more information...
Old/SSFII Ryu is a another version of the regular Ryu. He is a hidden playable character.
NOTE: 1 continue used.
===== HOW TO SELECT OLD/SSFII RYU =====
On the character select screen, select Ryu with any button, and immediately input Right, Right, Right, Left and then press LP or LP + LK.
If you've done it correctly you'll hear Ryu's voice and his portrait colours will change into his original ones.

===== OLD/SSFII RYU DIFFERENCES =====
As this is the old SSFII version of him, it means that he does not have the Super Combo gauge, which of course means that he does not have the Super Fireball.
Regarding Normals, he doesn't have the Overhead Punch and Charging Punch command normals. He also doesn't have the jumping forwards/backwards air uppercut, which means that he loses those juggling abilities as a result.
===== RYU STORY IN STREET FIGHTER II =====
A student of Shotokan Karate, he has developed into a pure warrior. He has devoted his entire life to the perfection of his fighting skills and has forsaken everything else in his life. Ryu has no home, no friends and no family. Instead, he wanders the globe seeking to test his skills against other fighters.

---- Old Ryu has two colour palettes. The first is the original World Warrior colours; and the second are unique colours that is specially made for Old Ryu.
---- The second unique colour palette is made specially for SSFIIX/SSF2T.
---- There is no instance in the game where the CPU is in control of Old Ryu.
---- Ryu has been a playable character in every Street Fighter game up to this time of writing (Street Fighter 6).
---- In the Street Fighter II series, he is one of six characters whose stage background doesn't have an audience.
--- Storyline-wise, he is one of only two characters to deal a defeat to M. Bison in a one-on-one fight.
