[MoteMancer] EA Launch pt2 - Life Plane II - Canopies, Keystone
Alright, with the buffered Leaves going into Mana Leaf production, it's a relatively fast sprint to Mana Canopies to further expand past the 16200 Power that the Leaves setup affords (It's possible to just expand Cultivator burn more but I'd rather keep that burn rate leaner since we'll be relying on this grid throughout the entire run, having Life/Water plane make Keystones for Great Portal and the Coral techs while we're off doing other stuff)
This segment highlights my go-to Binder layout with Earth grippers. Similar to the Grindstone layout I go bloomless now because this layout lets roots out on either side of the build w/o Underground Slab/Streamway shenanigans, and is just less inventory finagling overall.
Speaking of Binders, despite the belts being rated for 4/s and 16/s, I generally plan my maths around multiples of 3, for example 6, 12, 24 Binders for 3, 6 and 12/s. Due to the way Grippers work in this game along with some leftover wonkiness with e.g. Deltas slightly throttling throughput, running the belts less than 100% capacity prevents things from underfeeding unintentionally. In any case, most of the core maths in this game revolves around 3:1 ratios anyway, be it Elementals to Prisms, Elementals to Hybrids, or Hybrids and Prisms to Keystones, and even Brineries/Pyrolizers converting 3/s motes to 6/s Aether/Salt
Segment hits a slight hiccup as I let about ~100 Mana Leaves go into Daycaller instead of Canopies (whoops lol) - Daycaller is great, but not really useful right now vs actually getting solar power running. Oh well, not a big problem.
Some of the belting in the Water area is semi spaghetti because I misjudged the amount of space, but I think it overall works out.
For power in this stage, 24 Canopies and 60 Leaves total out to 30,000 Power, which alongside the Cultivators is plenty for this run. Even without Daycaller, the previous 18 Cultivators can more than double up as long as there's a Leaves buffer before them, as they will now switch off during the day, leaving twice as much Leaves to burn during the night. With the nighttime 1.5x boost, that's 48600 Power assuming Leaves don't run out. ~42000-45000 total average usage should be safe, which is a lot.
Verdant Collector upgrade will be next, which really opens up production as Aether is a bottleneck right now in three different areas.
