A very peculiar, funny and unique game only released for Sega Saturn, it's fairly uncommon and I'd call it a cult classic. Featuring music by Ronnie Montrose from the "Montrose" music group and live actors in the cutscenes, mr. Bones spans 2-discs and it's one of the most interesting games you can find for the Sega Saturn.

The wicked and immortal DaGoulian believes that evil is the only purity in the world and has discovered a method to surround the world in darkness and animate the dead, known as divine "skeletism". By incorporating noise, rhythm, mesmerism, and certain vampirical processes, DaGoulian brings an army of darkness to life with glowing red eyes... but he didn't count on one thing; Mr. (or mr.) Bones, a skeleton who's feeling kinda blue.

Unlike the rest of the living dead, something within mr. Bones has made him capable of resisting DaGoulian and he possesses a soul unlike the rest. While he doesn't know what's going on, he knows something isn't right about DaGoulian, and he's not about to take orders from such a strange guy. The game is sort of a collection of mini-games and side-scrolling action bits that progresses you through the story. From telling jokes to doing platforming segments to even playing a guitar to the beat for a crowd of "fans", this game isn't easy to describe in a few words.

For the most part, this is a well-designed game and a worthy addition to any Saturn collection. I just wish the controls were a bit more responsive during some segments. For example, the first level (while kinda impressive) tends to lag in some spots, which can mess with your timing. This is a revised video at higher quality which shows more things in the game, demonstrating more of the game's variety in terms of the levels, and more story. Enjoy.
