In this more personal talk, I set out how I ended up becoming interested enough in the classic philosopher Aristotle, to start engaging in scholarship, public talks, and publication about his works and thought. I discuss in particular what I find interesting and valuable in his approach and contributions to philosophy, how learning Greek helps bring his works together systematically, and a bit about the history of study on Aristotle. I finish by suggesting a few works that are useful for delving into his thought.
