My Minecraft Adventure: A subway, a sky train, and a tree farm
Welcome to episode 3 of things I did in Minecraft.
In this update, I decided to showcase a part of my subway system which led to my tree farm. The mountains were definitely in the way of me getting to different locations and I thought I'd dig underneath them to make access easier.
In this particular direction, when I emerged, I came across a thick forest filled with trees. So, I decided to build a dedicated tree farm. It's still a work in progress as I figure out how different trees grow as it's not quite as a straight forward process as I thought.
Part of the problem with this area was just how difficult it was to move around, so I decided to build up a huge sky train system to quickly travel from one end to another without fear of being attacked or taking too long to get from one location to another. So, to solve this, I build a huge sky train system that travels over top of the whole thing. It made life quite a bit easier, so I was quite happy with how this turned out.
Another problem I ran in to was the fact that the mine I was digging in had no emeralds at all. This despite seemingly going all the way to the bottom and hitting bedrock. So, I surmised, it it's not deep below the surface, maybe it's way up high? So, I build a super massive staircase to go all the way to the top of a mountain. This allowed me to discover that emeralds to exist way up high, but the problem I ran in to was that I only got two of them in my huge digging project, so I eventually abandoned that mine in favour of looking for those elsewhere.
In the process of building the sky train system and the giant stairwell, I was able to make use of the truckloads of cobblestone I was pulling up from my mine, so that worked out exceptionally well.
I hope you enjoyed this video as this was definitely quite the project to build, though it was quite fun building it.
