My Minecraft Adventure: I Have a Beachfront Property... and a Cat?
Welcome to episode 5 of things I did in Minecraft.
In this update, I decided to show off my progress on deleting a mountain. In the process, I ran into a few things along the way. For one, I encountered a bunch of sheep hanging out on the side of the mountain. So, I got some sheers and started doing some surprise haircuts during my trips up and down the mountain. It has enabled me to get lots of wool for beds and even carpets along the way.
In the process, I started encountering meowing sounds. It took me awhile to find out where the heck the meowing was coming from because all I saw was an armadillo. As it turns out, there was a cat hiding behind an armadillo on a two by 1 cliff on the side of my mountain mine. Luckily, I had managed to obtain salmon at the time, so once I rescued the cat, I was able to tame it. I went through a bit of a naming process, but eventually settled on "Cliff" because I found it on a cliff. So, "Cliff" it is, then.
Another thing I encountered was lava in my mountain mine. Luckily, I was able to figure out that dousing this with water and it created a whole bunch of obsidian. After removing it, I ended up creating a nice large crater in my mine. This is actually beneficial since it'll make grinding down this mine a bit easier moving forward because there are fewer blocks to mine.
Another thing that some might be wondering is how in the world I got all of that glass. Well, for that, I moved forward and built more sky train and connected everything up to some nice beach front property. Beaches, of course, have lots and lots of sand and I was able to let three ovens break all that down into sand. I then used the crafting table to create glass windows which has let me decorate my stairs and sky train system with lots and lots of glass. Ultimately, that's how I got to make all those sky trains pretty looking.
As I suggested in the video, there is more to the playthrough than all of that, so I'm hoping to offer an update on things moving forward to talk about what else I uncovered in my playthrough in a future video.
