Relationships are often built on the basis of an individual's upbringing and the relational experiences that individual experienced over time. When the relational experiences of the individual is traumatic it can seem impossible to make things work.

Research suggests that when children are expsed to destructive relational patterns they often end up growing up "re-creating" those same destructive patterns in their own relationships.

Ruined relationships are often the result of destructive patterns created in relationships. These destructive patterns are toxic, unhealthy, and immature. Destructive patterns are also complicated to identify and fix in some cases. Sadly, trauma is often at the core of destructive patterns in relationships and until that trauma is explored and healed, the relationship will remain poor.

In this video, I discuss common relational patterns that is present in relationships where one or both individuals have unhealed and unprocessed trauma.
