My Voice and the Upload Situation Next Week
186Leading up to New Year I had the beginnings of a cold. It seemed to be getting better until very close to New Year where it quickly got quite a bit worse. The coughing was especially bad and I found over a few days that my voice grew very hoarse and weak as it normally does.
While the cold has been going away the voice is often the last thing to recover and mine has had quite a bit of recovering to do. I had been waiting to record next weeks videos when my voice had fully recovered but it quickly became clear to me that there was a chance my voice wouldn't be well enough to record for that time. So I waited, taking care of my voice as best I could and hoping it would improve.
I'm happy to say that not long before the uploading of this video I recorded seven of the videos I need for next week with the ones to go up tomorrow being a priority. As you can hear in this video my voice got entirely better yet but it's leagues improved over what it was at the beginning of the week. I still can't hit the high notes, it's a little quieter at times and it can get a little croaky occasionally but it doesn't hurt and I can consistently talk like this which means that I can continue to upload videos while my voice keeps improving. I will be recording the remaining videos I need to do for next week tomorrow morning so that I have a full week of videos recorded ready. I'll be putting a note in the video descriptions explaining that the videos were recorded while my voice was recovering.
I'm glad to be putting videos out, it would be a shame if my voice hadn't improved enough to do so. I hope you all enjoy what I've recorded and with luck next week my voice will be back to normal. I'll keep you updated on twitter as and when I have news to give.
So I shall see you tomorrow folks. I may not sound entirely as I did before but it's still me and hopefully in the near future I'll be fully recovered and back to normal.
