The N7 Eagle is a heavy pistol in Mass Effect 3 and a pistol in Mass Effect: Andromeda.
N7 Eagle happens to be a well redesigned Phalanx pistol that is a decent pistol itself. Among its pros you will definitely appreciate its compact size, its full auto feature and unprecedented accuracy. While the N7 Eagle was named after a classic and very popular in XX and XXI century handgun Desert Eagle, it has nothing to do with the original title. Just on the contrary: with the maximum upgrade you can use the N7 Eagle as an UZI because its clip size can be expended up to 32 bullets. It is a perfect secondary weapon against multiply enemies and can be used for covering or suppressing fire. But, if you decide to shoot full auto – be prepared to lose a lot in accuracy. At the same time, when shooting with single shots, there is nothing better than this gun at the middle range distance.
In the Legendary Edition it is available from the Spectre Requisitions terminal in the Citadel Embassies for a base amount of 80,000 credits.
- Being fully automatic, the Eagle's sheer firing power can knock enemies back.
- The Eagle is best fired in short bursts to avoid accuracy degradation due to muzzle climb. It is extremely accurate if you wish to fire in single shots.
- It also has a very good supply of ammo, but the fire rate chews through it at an alarming rate.
- Despite being a heavy pistol, the Eagle has low damage per bullet; this makes it a poor choice against targets with armor, which provides those targets a flat amount of damage reduction per hit. For this reason, it's best to carry this pistol alongside a weapon with high single-shot damage, such as the N7 Crusader or most sniper rifles.
- A second option is to simply mod the Eagle with the Pistol High-Caliber Barrel and/or the Pistol Piercing Mod to either increase its overall damage or decrease the damage reduction respectively. If weight is irrelevant, install a Pistol Heavy Barrel instead for higher raw damage.
- The Eagle is the only heavy pistol that is significantly affected by the Marksman power. The rate of fire and accuracy increase can turn this heavy pistol into a devastating close range or even medium range weapon.
- The Pistol Magazine Upgrade mod greatly benefits this pistol. Without the mod, it can hold 18 rounds, but with a maxed out Pistol Magazine Upgrade mod its round capacity is increased to 32, allowing you to engage multiple enemies before having to reload.
