The N7 Typhoon is an assault rifle in Mass Effect 3.
The Typhoon is easily the single most effective weapon for squadmates that are able to equip it, especially if combined with an ammo power. Its native penetration combined with the right weapon mods means the squadmate tendency to shoot directly at enemies behind cover will still result in kills. James Vega with upgraded Incendiary Ammo, Ashley Williams with Marksman, and Garrus Vakarian in particular can down the toughest foes in mere seconds even on Insanity difficulty.

In Mass Effect Legendary Edition N7 Typhoon can be purchased from the Spectre Requisitions terminal in the Citadel Embassies for a base amount 150,000 credits.
With a great deal of spending discipline and completion of some side missions, the player can buy and begin upgrading this rifle before Priority: Tuchanka.
Additionally, remember that buying the weapon from the Citadel is marginally cheaper than buying from the Normandy.

N7 Typhoon is not an ordinary rifle. N7 Typhoon should be referred to as distinctive light machine gun and nothing else. It is heavy, not that accurate and when shot in singles brings really low damage. But this gun has no other modes than automatic which means – bullet shower for everyone. As you can see yourself, this rifle has two special plates on the both sides of the barrel. If you haven’t guessed yet, they are supposed to protect you from headshots. I can’t say that they work perfectly well but it is definitely a lot harder to send a bullet in your head when you have this gun. N7 Typhoon is the heaviest assault rifle and it won’t be a perfect fit for power-dependent classes.
The Typhoon has a native penetration of 100cm, which lets it tear through Guardian shields, armor plating, and cover without the aid of an Assault Rifle Piercing Mod.
The Typhoon receives a damage multiplier of 2.0x when it reaches its maximum firing rate. Activating the Marksman power immediately grants this "spin-up" bonus.
The Typhoon deals an additional 50% bonus damage against targets with any protection (shields, barriers or armor). This makes the Typhoon surpass even the Cerberus Harrier in terms of sustained Damage-Per-Second (DPS).
