It seems that whoever is responsible for the construction of this tower has pretty much left their equipment lying around the place. One questions if this tower was completed or not during the demon's intrusion, maybe it was in renovation? Certainly would explain the various missing bits in this tower from lack of complete inner core stairs all the way to missing walls that leads to the vast time void beyond.

One thing's for sure, those nails in particular sure are useful to eliminate the rodents that are now investing these tall bricks. Except the ghostly ones, those need other things. Maybe a big hammer'll do better, who knows.
