Nerdsploitation? Let's Talk 'The Big Bang Theory?' (Part 2)
This is a continuation of Part 1 of the conversation: http://youtu.be/ExTztRoFlHM
With media such as "Noobz" and "King of the Nerds" coming out, one wonders about how nerds are portrayed in mainstream entertainment, and whether it is accurate or insulting. So naturally...the conversation wanders over to The Big Bang Theory. Is it a good show? Does it get its references right and make you feel included? On the other hand, do you watch the show and feel weirdly uncomfortable or angry at nerd portrayal? Do shows like "Community" and "Futurama" and others handle things better?
Kim Horcher and John Iadarola continue the discussion.
