In Chapter 6 of Tao Te Ching, Lao Tzu says: "The spirit of the valley never dies." What does it mean? If you shout at the top of your voice to the bottom, what do you hear? The echo. Is the echo your voice? It is, and it is not. It is the vibrations in the valley in response to your voice.
