The game's progression is well-paced, allowing players to grow more familiar with weapons and skills while collecting resources to upgrade abilities. Despite the challenge of restarting after death, the game remains highly replayable, with varied experiences adding depth to each run.
The journey begins with the Swordswoman Red, who gradually unlocks new forms as you progress. Use Fox's immortal power to navigate treacherous 'Story Relics,' confront four unique bosses, and escape the ever-shifting Realm of Ink. Surpass numerous challenges, redefining your destiny through a cycle of rebirth, while wielding your sword with unwavering resilience. With thrilling battles and diverse combat styles, players can experiment with various character abilities and combinations.
As Red, you'll have access to 9 different forms and weapons, alongside over 22 Ink Gems, including Tiger Ink, Venom Ink, Curse Ink, Burning Ink, Kylin Ink, and Dragon Ink. These Ink Gems enhance combat abilities and provide powerful perks like the Shadow Kite, Octagram Dart, Lock Charms, Dreadful Bell, Lamp of Seven Stars, and Doom Gauge. Loyal Ink Pets fight alongside you, evolving into 15+ forms, each with unique moves to aid in battle.
Explore over four major levels, each with distinct environments—ranging from verdant Buddhist forests to the icy Monkey Kingdom and ancient Mausoleum ruins. Each level is guarded by a powerful foe with a mysterious backstory, waiting for you to uncover it. You'll face over 20 creatures, such as the Fox Demon, Peony Fairy, and Mirror Sprite, each with their own unique history.
As you progress, your bonds with companions deepen, unlocking intimate dialogues and enriching the storyline. For half the price, Realm of Ink offers an experience that outshines Hades II, with far more potential for growth.
