The game begins with your character being exiled from a private community due to an infection. After a brief tutorial from androids, you venture outside into a world full of bizarre creatures and mysteries. The story unfolds through quests, but Death Trash prioritizes gameplay, offering real-time combat, both melee and ranged, alongside powers that increase your corruption level. The world is filled with meat—both unsettling and essential as a healing item, though it also adds to your corruption. Managing this corruption is key, with one of the main mechanics being the ability to puke to lower your corruption or even use your vomit to fuel machinery.
Though the world is grotesque, Death Trash is a well-crafted cyberpunk RPG with solid mechanics and a lot of charm. The game’s development is still in progress, and while there are some unfinished aspects, its potential is undeniable. It also offers local co-op, making it even more fun. I absolutely love it, and it’s definitely a game worth keeping an eye on.
