NICK54222 MUGEN: Hyde Kido (me) VS Boyfriend (Alexander Cooper 19)
17I think it's great to have a lot of indie games having attention these days. It seems that each year brings about at least one popular game that gamers come to love. And in recent days, that's the case with Friday Night Funkin'. Now the Boyfriend has made his way to MUGEN in many forms.
The ones we'll be facing today and at another time are quite decent. This one here is Alexander Cooper 19's edit of IgnitionGrimmy's verison. It's got sprites taken straight from Week 6. But there's one thing both this and the other one we'll face later have in common: their AI can be dangerous even if it doesn't look like it.
Boyfriend uses a lot of zoning tactics, from his arrows and notes to his microphone. He can also summon the Girlfriend to keep his opponents out of the air and in check. Plus, he's quite powerful, so you'll need to find a way to get through those moves of his.
So while my gameplay with Hyde was a bit sluggish, it might have been due to his size compared to mine. Still, found some use in some of his moves.
But I have two things to mention. Firstly, might use Hyde a bit more to make up for Linne's absence. Secondly, gonna use another character on the other version to mix things up. I won't say who it is, but it is another sword user.
