In this video, Nicky 2, released in 1993 for the Atari ST by Microids.
In Nicky Boom, Nicky has managed to defeat the evil witch Zoldrane and rescue his grandfather. Peace was restored to their forest and its inhabitants. Unknowingly to Nicky and his grandfather, Zoldrane had a sister who is an even more powerful witch and a dragon and she's preparing a terrible revenge. Nicky, once again, go on a mission to defend his land and defeat the witch-dragon, this time with a magic goose.
Pratically identical to its prequel, Nicky 2 sports even more brilliant graphics, nice sprites and, unfortunately, the same awful scrolling. The sound fx are digitized with a good quality and the playability is good. Like its predecessor, what kills this game is the scrolling. Should the programmers have spent more time in polishing the scrolling (or use the STE hardware) it would have been a fantastic game.
