In this video, Wacky Races, released in 1991 for the Atari ST by Hi-Tec Software.
Take the role of (in)famous Dick Dastardly and drive the double-zero's car named "Mean Machine" in a quest to win a series of long and hazard-filled cross-country road rallies. Between stages we must also build traps to hamper our opponents chance to win the races.
Based on 1968 animated television series, the game is graphically very faithful with well designed cars and colored backgrounds but with a reduced playing area. The audio is nice and sound fx are good. The playability is good but a little frustrating because, due to the small playing window, some hazards and obstacles are placed in a way that you cannot see them until it's too late.
