In this video, Nicky Boom, released in 1992 for the Atari ST by Microids.
Hoping to force Nicky's grandfather to reveal to her the secrets of the forest people, a wicked witch named Zoldrane has kidnapped him and she keep him held prisoner in a dark dungeon. To prevent a rescue from Nicky, the witch has warped the peaceful inhabitants of the forest into evil creatures and ordered them to guard her castle. We take the role of Nicky in a quest to save our grandfather and free the inhabitants of the forest from Zoldrane's evil clutch.
Graphically brilliant and very coloured, Nicky boom sports beautiful little sprites and an awful scrolling. It also have digitized sound fx and a good playability but IMHO the game is killed by its scrolling and its oddly silent gameplay. Like many other games the programmers should have spent more time in polishing the scrolling or/and use the STE hardware.
Here you'll find gameplay.

All footage taken from original hardware machines and upscaled to 1080P.

Let me know what do you think about the video in the comments below but, most important, Enjoy!!!
