In this video, Rolling Thunder, released in 1988 for the Atari ST by U.S.Gold.
We are agent Albatross, a member of the undercover branch of the World Crime Police Organization. The elusive body is better known as Rolling Thunder. In 1960 their current case involved the activities of a megalomaniac man called Maboo and they sent agent Leila to investigate. Unfortunately, agent Leila has been captured and our mission is to free her and expose Maboo's plans.
Port of the famous arcade game, Rolling Thunder sports faithful graphics and animations, while the sounds are composed of standard ST noises. Despite the reduced playing area, the fast action of the arcade has been severely reduced, this results in low framerate, slowed action and unresponsive jerky controls. Having seen the high rating many review gave to this port, maybe I demand too much, but, having loved the arcade, IMHO this version doesn't make it justice.
