I play another game that is on Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online, that game is Mario Tennis, which released in 2000. This is the first game in the Mario Tennis series, and in Japan, this game is called Mario Tennis 64, and it was developed by Camelot.
This game has characters from the Mario series, like Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Wario, Donkey Kong, Bowser, and many others, and it introduced a bunch of characters to the series, this game was the debut of Waluigi, and it was also the first appearance of Daisy and Birdo in the Mario series, Daisy's last appearance was Super Mario Land, and Birdo appeared in a few games.
Each character is sorted by play styles, there is the All-Around type for characters like Mario and Luigi, the Technique type, which is for characters characters like Peach, Daisy, Toad, and Waluigi. The Power type is for characters like Wario, Bowser, and Donkey Kong, the Speed type has characters like Yoshi, Birdo, and Baby Mario, and the Tricky type for characters like Paratroopa and Boo.
This game has a bunch of different modes, like Exhibition, Tournament, Ring Shot, Bowser Stage, and Piranha Challenge, and Tournament mode is where you can unlock different courts in the game.
This game had four characters that you could transfer over from Mario Tennis for the Game Boy Color, which released in 2001, and this was one of the few games that was compatible with the Transfer Pak, but only with Mario Tennis for the Game Boy Color. Another good detail is that Mario is the referee in tennis matches, and if Mario is playing a match, the referee Mario will wear blue instead of red, and this is the only game in the series where Mario is the announcer, because in later games in the series, there would be an announcer for those games.
Mario Tennis has had a bunch of games throughout the series, there was Mario Power Tennis for the Gamecube, which released in 2004, and it did get a GBA counterpart called Mario Tennis: Power Tour. Mario Power Tennis did also release on the Wii as part of the New Play Control. Then there was Mario Tennis Open for the 3DS in 2012, the next game in the series was Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash for the Wii U in 2015, and the most recent game in the series is Mario Tennis Aces, which came out for the Switch in 2018.
Mario Tennis has been on Virtual Console many times, it was available on the Wii Shop Channel, and it was on the Wii U eShop, and now on Nintendo Switch Online.
