Walkthrough:
Omega is, in my opinion, the hardest boss fight in this game. It has a huge variety of attacks that can wipe your entire team in a matter of turns, can inflict a ton of status effects and is immune to all but a couple forms of damage and will normally counter everything that you do. That said, with the right set up, you can auto attack it for an easy win like I do (I even do it on the Very Fast battle speed).
Party setup:
Mystic Knight with Rapid Fire ability. Hermes Sandals equipped.
Bard with any ability. Hermes Sandals equipped.
Bard with any ability. Hermes Sandals equipped.
Bard with any ability. Hermes Sandals equipped.
That's it. I have my Mystic Knight using the Enhancer, which is the strongest enchanted blade, but it's not exactly a requirement. The Bards do all of the actual work here. If one of them fails, it's game over (they won't fail).
To encounter Omega, exit the save point to the south and run outside. You will see Omega in the middle of the path. Simply run into it to begin the fight.
01:17 - The Fight
Since everyone has Hermes Sandals, you will start the battle with Haste and will likely get an attack in before Omega does. If not, don't stress if you get hit; as long as your entire party is alive and not otherwise incapacitated, you will be fine. Have your Mystic Knight cast Thundaga Blade, and all 3 of your Bards should sing Romeo's Ballad. On your Mystic Knight's next turn, have him do Rapid Fire, which will hit Omega 4 times. After that, simply hit auto attack. Romeo's Ballad will temporarily stun Omega, and with 3 of them going off it will stun-lock it for the entire fight. Your Mystic Knight will whittle down it's HP doing upwards of 4-8k per round of attacks.
You can try this with 2 Bards and 2 Mystic Knights if you wish, but I found that 2 x Romeo's Ballad isn't as consistent as I would like and Omega can become un-stunned, allowing it to destroy your party, especially since Bards aren't exactly the strongest of jobs in the game.
Once you are victorious, I recommend heading back to the prior save point to heal up and change your jobs back to the way you had them as you were progressing through the Interdimensional Rift.
