I wonder if the main game is also going to start with a tutorial. I chose the prologue since I'm playing for the first time, but for those who played an earlier demo, you can probably skip to the main game.
You have to defeat story mandated enemies in order to get certain ability submenus unlocked. Unfortunately, the chief, Kaan, doesn't want Mila to use her magic yet for some reason, even though she can gain MP just by whacking the enemy with her staff.
Jomal is normally in the defensive row, though he can change the row of his allies. He also has different available skills depending on his equipped weapon, but you can only change weapons once per battle.
I really dislike how a lot of games with touch encounters don't freeze the enemy NPCs when the player is in the middle of dialogue. I prefer the "you move then enemy moves" system of Liar Jeannie and Etrian Odyssey. TBF, the enemies in The Lost don't move quickly unless you're within their aggro range.
