I am a noob that decided to go through pitches by ear... and this was done during a day in which I WENT THROUGH a sleepless night.
Yes, it is more of a test video whipped up in a couple of hours using text generators, voice generators, and well... It's quite misleading considering that I use notes like G5 as a placeholder to indicate pitch...

Oh and it seems like something got silenced...

Original Transcript : Well... here is just estimations on the genre and some thoughts.
Classifying the voices of modern singers are pretty difficult since many of them don't use classical techniques, and that I obviously don't have the expertise to do so.

But I guess we can just dismiss Taylor Swift's party songs.

Classically. I can remember Soprano - which spans middle C to high C, speaking of the root note. I think I should just leave the note out because I can only really tell pitches, as you can obviously see in the first test video.
I do recognize the sequence through. Don't get confused if I use G4 and G5 as placeholders with no regard to the sequence since I'm technically referring to 400-900Hz with it.

Anyways, Mezzo-sopranos are in between soprano and alto. And then there are Tenor and Baritone which are male voices. Contraltos are high male voices and low female voices.

I would say many seiyuu-singers fall into Mezzo-soprano ranges. Most youthful (but not loli) anime girl voices fall in this range.

Loli singers sing even higher than Sopranos, and are likely to injure both the singer and listeners with prolonged exposure. Vocal fry is often employed here to create a loli texture... since lolis often have shorter vocal tracts and smaller lungs, being little girls and all.

Loli singers sound weird sometimes. A real loli cannot speak clear words usually. But loli singers are clear and crisp. So yes, those are adults that practiced extensively, and modify their voice to deliver the voice of a little girl minus many of the shortcomings that real children come with.

Tone refers to the sound quality of a musical phrase, emphasizing duration, loudness, and attack (AKA how the sound comes out - sudden or gradual). Pitch...
Seiyuus singing with loli voices have a high pitch, and a texture that resembles a child. And yet their tone and timings is professional which is why they are quite easy to understand...

So simply put. Lolis have vocal fry, which creates a thin and airy quality... a high pitch often exceeding the highest soprano notes - over 700Hz. And lower volume levels and maybe breathiness since they supposely have smaller lungs.
Vocal range is limited too, usually stuck at those high pitches.

You can tell what I mean...
Just saying since I have NEVER met anyone that can maintain any clarity even if they can hit those ranges. Petiteness, exercise, and diets that create a shorter throat probably really helps. The voice really needs to be focused on the head holes - like the nose and cheeks rather than deeper into the body.

Anyways, let's get back...

Maaya Sakamoto and Megumi Nakajima are more mainstream seiyuu-singers. And that Maaya Sakamoto has a youthful and mature voice. Megumi Nakajima has a youthful and energetic voice.

I say most singers singing ballad style songs are mezzo-sopranos with pitches of G2 to G3 range, of about 110Hz to 800Hz, remaining much lower than loli's consistent pitches because mezzo-soprano ranges are alot more pleasant than higher ranges and don't lead to hearing loss.

Sakamoto obviously sings straightforward songs with simple words and lyrics/harmonies. It can sound like a conversation too, and tells a series of events, such as a series of emotions and actions. And she increases and decreases volume gradually which does drive the point of simplicity.

Also with sudden loud starts.

And that Nakajima can also sing ballads, well they could sound similar, but I said that Nakajima has a different timbre that is immediately recognizable... it generally sounds faster.
I'm not the biggest fan of mainstream idol music.

Nakajima's voice is suitable for ridiculous phrases and her loudness changes rapidly to put emphasis on some words/vowels.

MEcha Mecha futari mawatte.
MIRA-KU-RU-KU-RU-KU-RU.

Yeah, it makes one feel a funny and cringey feeling in their stomaches.

It is intentionally playful and detached from proper language. And that I can only see two jet fighters spinning out of control while orbiting a mini black hole. Nonsensical vocal acrobatics like MIRAKURU KURU KURU will lead to people see really dumb and whimsy images in their heads.

Imagine the shock and embarrassment on Ieyasu Tokugawa and the samurai when they bear witness to what happened to their language.
Babyuun babyuun babyuun!
