Not the trees! / Lets Play The Colossus is Coming / Indie Horror Game
So, here is something interesting developed by Fyre Games, “The Colossus is Coming” is a tie-in game for the similarly titled album by the dev’s music project Auric Echoes. The album itself is a collage of the short story told in the game and some pretty neat rock tunes, blending post-punk and prog (don’t ask me how, it works, though, if you like both).
The game itself is about being stuck in the middle of a forrest and listening to a short story that might or might not conjure some hidden entity. I really like the concept and delivery of the story, not too sure about the ending but this might hit differently once you listened to the entire album.
Here is a link to the game to play it yourself and give some love to the dev. The game page also includes links to the album (but you can also listen to it on Spotify and other streaming services).

Here’s a link to the No Sleep Podcast in case you really like the kind of reading style & horror style within the game: https://www.thenosleeppodcast.com/
And if you like incredibly creepy colossus fiction with a lot of interpersonal drama, I really recommend Attack of the Titans (beware, it’s super gory, this is no One Piece that you can enjoy with the kids): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bT9csxkth8g
And if you like stuff where some entity simply follows you, may I recommend the horror movie It Follows? (Don’t watch if you want clear-cut explanations, this is somewhat a more dream-like logic) I love it for its timeless setting, I love the protagonist and just the whole mood of it, there’s such a melancholy lying within the terror: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkZYbOH0ujw
