I disturbed so many ghosts! / Lets Play ToruTaru
So, I put this game on my steam wishlist because it looked very curious and a kind soul actually gifted it to me, not knowing that deep within my heart I was also scared of this game. But this was a great impulse to play it and see what’s behind this “AI-generated, ghastly haunted mansion” as is the marketing text on the Steam page.
On your lookout for your missing (ex-) girlfriend, you go to a creepy old mansion that is full of ghosts. You have to find keys to the next floors and pick up talismans to ward off evil and move around the mansion. There’s also other people in there who you can help but of course I didn’t even make it that far.
The game was developed by hiddenVisions and it’s an amazingly curious, absurd little gem that is both hilarious and incredibly creepy. I only made it to floor 4 which is probably like losing it on the first row of Tetris but it’s still a good first impression for anyone who might be interested (and I might return at some point because it is such an intriguing experience).
Play it yourself (it’s very cheap): https://store.steampowered.com/app/1650250/ToruTaru/
Here’s the movies I mentioned talking about impossible space in horror movies:

I also recommend the novel “House of Leaves” by Mark Z. Danielewski. It’s post-modern, so a little complicated to read but I really loved it and remember that it honestly spooked me a LOT.
