Nuke 15.0 & 14.1 | File format SDK updates
To maintain pipeline efficiency & flexibility it is vitally important to keep our RAW camera and file formats support up to date. In this release, we have further improved our support for the new ARRI Alexa 35 camera, with the ability to read files in the HDE format and we also updated the HDE SDK to the latest 4.0.3
As can be seen here we have also updated the ARRI IMAGE SDK to the latest 8.0
There has been a minor update to EXR files to 3.1.6 and we have updated the Avid DNx libraries to the latest version 2.7.3, this update will ensure compatibility and good file exchange between the latest versions of Avid media composer and Nuke.
We have also updated our identification, and in some cases decoding, of all .mxf files. Generally the changes associated with this update are not visible to the user, but this does enable us to support all file formats on the macOS ARM platform
Finally for Nuke 15.0 only we have deprecated the use of the old ARRI 6.2.3 SDK and now use the new ARRI IMAGE 8.0.0 SDK for all ARRI files, including legacy files, keeping historical files usable in Nuke for the foreseeable future
