Nyanpai (often known by the mis-transliteration of "Niyanpai") is a form of arcade "Mahjong Solitaire" from the somewhat well known (depending on how you look at things) company known as Nihon Bussan Co., Ltd...or mostly known by the company's main video game brand name of "Nichibutsu". The game is one of several adult arcade games, but generally speaking, while the game is dubbed a hentai (or some would use the term "ecchi") game, it is what most would consider "softcore". It is deemed as a pretty accessible adult game that is easy enough for anyone to play, even without looking up the rules for playing Mahjong Solitaire. Other than the information I have outlined above, Nyanpai is not an overly sophisticated game in any area, and is pretty light in story, though the artwork stills are decent enough and may remind many of some of the decent artwork you'd see from a lot of PC-98 games. You control a girl named Kanori who meets a white cat during a stroll one day...and from there, you meet different girls (the family names of the characters are said to be based off of banks in Japan) and utilize "magic powers" by pairing special tiles to aid you in your quest to do exactly what you would expect in an adult arcade game...you win to slowly get the clothes off of the ladies.

The game is nothing particularly amazing, but it is pretty obscure and it is also completely playable and another oddity to add to our ongoing list of oddball games! The video shows a few stages where we are going up against Mitsubishi Urara (or Ulala, as it has also been interpreted as), the first girl you have to undress. If you've read some of the information regarding Mahjong Solitaire, the game should be easy to play, or if you can learn from simple trial and error.
