Seven Knights [세븐나이츠] Game Sample - Android/iOS
Seven Knights is a game made by Korean game developer "Netmarble"; it's pretty decent, but the game can be really annoying with the constant low rank cards you get from stuff, which has forced a lot of people to "pay to get stronger"...or at the very least, buy a couple of "May Boxes". That isn't entirely a criticism of just this game, but with MANY free-to-play (or freemium) games. You can get strong without paying real money, and there are better ways to get good in this game than in some other F2Ps, but it takes too long for me, though those used to "FARMING" and "MASS GRINDING" will feel right at home and there are many like that who love the game. Don't get me wrong; I like to grind every now and then in conventional RPGs and play one in full for 70+ hours of gameplay, but I DO NOT care all that much for playing a game for two to three days straight just to finally fuse two high rank cards together to get a half decent 6 star hero that I might actually want to use...then you gotta get them to "+5" and possibly "transcend" them and it just gets boring for me beyond doing the Guide Quests and beating the game on hard for the full (current) story. MMOs (or games like this one) have never been my thing, personally, so this is not a criticism about the game, but just how I feel about it.
That said, the game actually is pretty nice, with excellent visuals and animations and decent music! Keep in mind, however, that with all the grinding and farming you will be doing in this game, the music will admittedly get pretty old pretty fast, as you train the same heroes from level 1 to level 30, over and over and over and over again! This video is a showing of the "Global" version of the game, but the Korean version of the game is actually further along, with "awakened" versions of characters! As of this video date, the game's story dealt with the "Evan Expedition" and that's it, but I believe there is more in the Korean version of the game; only time will tell if the Global version will catch up in full or not, but the game is VERY popular, so it very well may, in good time...
To briefly gloss over the gameplay of the game, you get heroes with different ranks and you get keys that allow you to do different things, but the major thing you will be doing with your standard keys (there are also "Celestial Tower" keys) is "adventuring"; this is done by selecting a stage on a map and as you progress through the adventure map, you can reach more difficult stages with better rewards. Enemy waves are MOSTLY pre-determined, though sometimes, you will fight mimics, who drop better-than-normal item drops or "elements". Elements are also obtained in "Daily Dungeons" and are used to "rank up" a hero you like using...you can also gain heroes through "fusion", but unlike ranking up, a fusion hero will be a random hero; possibly better than the one you are using, but (as it is often said) usually worse. You may likely find yourself fusing to get 5 and 6 star heroes though because getting elements takes FOREVER (especially if you use the "element rank up" method)...
There is a lot more to discuss about this game, but I do not have enough text space to fit everything. You get items, gold, keys, and "honors" from many different means; by completing quests, adventuring, "special events" (the game will literally just give you keys frequently and you get hero cards at fixed intervals), and more. Right after this video was posted, the Global version also has "raids" now, where you fight "Destroyer Gaze" and can get strong dragon gear; it is a nice addition and you can score some neat stuff in raids. You also get stuff from the "Celestial Tower", where you use special keys that regenerate every 30 minutes (you can hold up to 5 at a time). There are arena battles, where you can fight other players and get rewards when the "season" ends, "Castle Rush" where you storm a castle, guild features, and social networking perks (obviously) like getting honors from friends and using friend leaders in battles. The last thing I want to mention is that you can get the "Seven Knights" on your team too; they are some of the most coveted heroes to get!
There are guide quests too...so here is a note for newcomers; always try to do your guide quests first. You'll thank me later, because to complete many of the guide quests, like when they say to buy a hero in the shop, you can complete that quest by "buying" the free normal hero the shop gives you; just go through the quests and try to plan ahead based on what daily login rewards you'll get, so on and so forth!
