Tap Rising is a simple, but pretty neat, phone game from a relatively new developer, known as Lenius. From what I can see, Lenius appears to be a Korean indie game developer and this is my first game sample from Lenius, although I also have "9 Elements"; this game (and 9E) seem to be made with pretty nice quality and the games are free, with some "pay for" content, but it isn't constantly shoved in your face. However, the funny thing is while I was not able to capture it during this game sample recording, you can avoid some boss fights if you fight the boss and he randomly asks you to watch an ad, LOL...though the cool thing is you can actually refuse and just fight him. However, for a game like this, it would be no problem to click to watch the ad whenever you can, because ads help the developer(s), even if you do not want to pay for any extra content.

You can control different characters that you unlock, but the general idea is that you use a character to fight against "the big scary Block.K", who has kidnapped your princess. Right after K takes the princess, blocks start to fall from sky! Using those blocks will help you climb higher and save the princess...so you have to set height records while chasing K all over the universe!

At any rate, the game has simple, but charming visuals, runs smoothly (for me anyway), and has a few game elements that make the game addictive in all of its simplicity. The music is also pretty nice, though the number of tracks are few (which works for a game like this). As far as mobile games go, this one does not have very many downloads, so it would be good if this game could get more exposure.
