For the very first time, the open source ecosystem will have to clearly comply with European law, or face legal consequences that could threaten projects and supply chains of all companies. Many questions remain open for maintainers, OSPOs, compliance or legal departments and: Is my project concerned? What should be done to comply? How should companies anticipate compliance of their products using open source? In Europe? In the world? How do foundations plan to ensure their projects can be used safely? How should foundations get support from industry and the public sector? This panel intends to give answers, helping our community to ensure certainty and sustainability of its supply chain in front of recent European laws.
